Always a silver lining

Landon and I were talking, and he mentioned how lucky (blessed) we were that Susie got sick this week, and not next week when we would have been out on the road, on our way to his job interviews a couple states away.

On that note, our Susie Q is getting better. She spent the whole day off the oxygen, and had her nose suctioned out only once or twice. Her breathing sounds really good, and the pediatrician (I really like him, I would highly recommend him or our regular pediatrician to any one in the Eugene area looking for a pediatrician) said it was very probable she could go home tomorrow afternoon. Provided, of course, that the more in-depth cultures of her blood and urine come back okay tomorrow. Her spinal tap looked good. She spent much more of the day alert, and she ate as eagerly and voraciously as she used to! And I've had hours and hours of HGTV and Landon's laptop (hence the regular blogging) to keep me company at the hospital, so what more could I ask for?! (I also have a husband who is willing to take the night shift last night and tonight so I could get some rest....those first two days and nights at the hospital made a zombie out of me.)

We're so lucky (blessed).
