Friday was the end of the year banquet for the law journal Landon has been an editor for the last couple years. The Journal of Environmental Law & Litigation. It's the more...out there journal of the three at the University of Oregon. OLR has their banquet at the Hilton every year. ORIL had theirs at the Oregon Electric Station, one of the nicer restaurants in Eugene. Last year, JELL had their banquet at the Starlight Lounge. This year, it was at the Eugene Brewery. Yeah. JELL gets made fun of by our group of friends...the conservative LDS law students who generally aren't vegans and don't sport dreads and Birkenstocks. Just kidding. Most of the other JELL editors don't have dreads...though some probably wear Birkenstocks. And lots are vegans. How I wish I could fully explain Eugene, the University of Oregon, the law school and JELL to all of you. But I can't. Right, fellow Eugenians? Anyway, Landon was on the managing board of JELL this year, as the business editor. I'm so proud of him, at the banquet he got one of the two Distinguished Service awards. All the editors get to vote for who they think deserves these awards, so it was Landon's peers that thought he deserved it. It's nice when other people think your spouse is as awesome as you do!
