Feeling much more optimistic now...

Yesterday and today were much better than Monday. We toured the hospital, I went to the doctor (dilated to a 1, maybe a 2, 50% effaced...in other words, this baby is going no where soon), American Idol was on. I got relatively good naps today and yesterday. So much much better state of mind for this pregnant woman.

A couple things....first, Dal amused himself by putting all the stickers Santa gave him for sitting on his lap all over my rotund-ness (don't mind the spot on my shirt).
Second, this is the finished car seat cover and shade. I had a pattern for the cover part, but the shade I did all on my own, using the old blue one as my model. I'm really proud of myself. It was a difficult project!!!

Glad you're feeling better. I just have to say that the belly (and chest of course) covered in stickers has happened at our house, too. Do protruding things just call out to be decorated with stickers or what!?

p.s. You do not look big enough to be having a baby this month! My maternity t-shirts like that I have totally grown out of already. It's slightly depressing.

Your car seat cover is such a good idea - I'm always thinking... "What happens if we have a boy next? Poor kid - stuck with all this PINK!"

Glad your days are getting better!!

I am SO PROUD of all the sewing projects that you have tackled and done so well. That high school class (as I recall was named Outdoor Clothing, but ended up to be a quilt class) really taught you great skills. It is fun that both of us have sewing projects. XO

Wow! Heather, you did such a great job and I am in awe that you made something without a pattern. Coming from personal experience, I know how difficult that is. I tried the other day....it didn't go so well. We'll just leave it at that.

The car seat is super cute. Good job! Way to go, heather!
