I'm feelin' it today

or, rather, I'm feelin' it right at this minute.

I feel like blogging.

Clearly I must strike while the iron is hot.

I had this thought as I was sitting here at my computer, blissfully eating my delectable taco salad and reading my friends' blogs.

That's when I thought I should SHOW you my delectable (albeit half-eaten) taco salad, just to prove that occassionally I do get around to making a KICK-butt lunch for myself.

Aaaaaah. Tomato, cheese, green onion, cilantro, taco meat, cheese, chips, sour cream, cheese...(unfortunately, I did forget the lettuce, which I did not realize until just now.) Does it get any better than this? (well, actually, a little more cilantro would have been even BETTER.)

And yes, Michelle (Checketts), that is your blog in the background. Which brings me to another topic I've been pondering while I devour my delicious cilantro (I'm still eating, by the way): Google Reader.

Google Reader, WHICH, though terribly convenient, tends to take away the feeling of connection I used to get with blogging. Do you know why? Because I never leave Google Reader to leave comments. I MEAN to, frequently, in fact. But there's this little thing that gets in the way....and though I'd love to call it by another name, LAZINESS by any other name would smell as sweet (sorry, William, but it works for me). I really DO read all of your blogs though! FOR EXAMPLE:

Michelle, I thought exactly what you mentioned...you don't look pregnant at all in those pictures! I'm glad you had fun with your fam, even though Andrew missed out.

Shells, I have to admit, I laughed over your movie choices...and I also have to admit I've seen two of the three! (and I think Bryce's word of choice was a pretty accurate description.)

So ANYWAY, I'm setting new goals regarding blogging and the leaving of comments. Because what's the point of blogging if no one is out there? (and don't say "just to get it all out," because that is what a journal or a scrapbook is for) So I want to let you know I'm out there!

Moving on, I was also pondering my offspring...and how he rarely makes an appearance on my blog in word or image unless he does something terrible (see here, or here, or here, or here, or here, or here, or here). (that's a lot of "here"s.) And you know what? I'm okay with that. As discussed previously, this is my show. But just for today, here's the boy:

And now....I feel like napping.

Nap on, my friend. Nap on... And yes, it's your blog so you can surely post whatever you want of yourself and your offspring alike. That's the beauty of being in control. :-) What a cute little cookie face sweet Dallin has!

Google Reader is great unless your friends have made their blogs private...still haven't figured out a good way around that one. But I suffer from the same syndrome - Google Reader Laziness. Hope you are still have a fantastic time in Utah.

How about we get together this weekend? Will you be in Centerville at all? I'll be up there most of Sat. . .
