On Wednesday, Landon's wallet went missing. We were not sure about its whereabouts....i.e., if it had been stolen out of Landon's gym bag while he was in the shower after his LBA (Legal Ballers Association) game, or if he had dropped it while hurriedly hopping on the bus...etc.
Worse than all his credit cards, his Utah drivers' license (which he is quite proud of), his temple recommend, library card, $55 in cash........
His Social Security card was in there.
No, we're not morons. We don't usually carry our Social Security cards with us. But Landon had his to give to his firm in Utah. We had just come back a couple days before this, and he hadn't taken it out.
Landon put holds on all his cards, and prayed that if it had been stolen, the average pimply-faced freshman who took it probably wouldn't be sophisticated enough to engineer an identity theft.
But miracles happen.
We'd been praying constantly, not necessarily that his wallet would be found, but that everything would be okay. And we really felt like it would.
Yesterday, as Landon was calling to cancel his cards and get new ones, he had the thought he should give the bus depot one more try (after MANY MANY tries).
They had it.
With EVERYTHING in it.

Not to detract from the miracle, but Legal Ballers Association? Bahahaha! I love it when I get ammo on Landon!
