...I get blessings that I don't deserve.
We know nothing about cars. We don't. And the only one who does know anything about cars is my father (which, as a Jiffy Lube franchisee and after spending 10 years before that in corporate Q Lube, he should), who is at present traipsing about the Yukon after a moose. Which is another story for another day (kind of like Landon's sweet new ride). Back-up would be my little brother. Who is also in mad pursuit of those elusive creatures through the wilderness of the Yukon (can something the size of a moose be elusive?). But I digress. The point is, when a light comes on telling us something is wrong with the engine, we are VERY concerned.
Took the car in to the dealership this morning, bright and early. They would diagnose it and get back to us. Well, they got back to us. It was fixed. Something was wrong with the software, so [insert mechanical babble here]. They updated the software, [insert more mechanical babble] and it was fixed.
The best part? All it cost us was the $96.17 (with tax) for the diagnostic stuff.
Hallelujah.
Now, if you will excuse me, my son (who is supposed to be napping) is in his room yelling, "BYU COUGARS!" at the top of his lungs....

oh that is such great news! i was keeping my fingers crossed for yall! don't worry, i'll still keep them crossed for landon's job search :)
Glad the car was an easy fix--cars can be so stressful and money consuming. I'm glad you at least you have your son well trained! Lexie now always asks what the Y is on the mountain when we drive by so we explain it to her. The other day that led to me singing the fight song about 20 times in order to keep her happy in the car. At the end she'd sing, "Ra ra ra ra ra gooooo Cougars" with me. Make me so happy. :) Now if only we'd show up for a game sometime this season........
So glad to hear it was easily and mostly painless!!! Just as an FYI, you can take your car to most auto parts stores (like Checker and Auto Zone) and they will read your check engine light register for free.
Hope you are doing well!!
Oh my goodness... my heart is just full with pride right now. Best nephew ever!
Glad your car is better! :)
Hoorah! That is fantastic news!
