I DID IT

The biggest reason I have not made a major update in months is that I have been working diligently towards starting my own business. And it's done. As of September 1st, Embellished Ink & Paper is officially launched. It has been such a process. I've collected a random assortment of skills I never wanted to learn and never thought I'd need to! But I'm proud of what I have done, and looking forward to what I will continue to do. Now that the biggest hurdles are over, I can focus more on doing what I actually started the business for.

Which is my handmade cards. That's right, folks, I'll be selling handmade cards online. Please, feel free to check out my website.

And if you love me, give me a shout-out on your blog, eh? Wink, wink.

So in other news, I have updated our photo albums for the past 5 months, so there is 5 new albums on there. (Link is to the right of this page, or click here.) A brief run-down of what we have been up to:

Went to Utah for a week in May, immediately after Landon finished school so we could make it back before he started his internship.

Landon's summer internship was very flexible, so we had lots of time as a family this summer!

My sister Andrea came to visit in May.

Landon's family and my family came to visit in July.

In August, I went to North Carolina to go furniture shopping with my Mom and my Grandma, then met Landon and Dallin in Utah to celebrate his birthday.

And Landon started school again at the end of August.

It's been a great summer, and I hope all of yours has been equally great!

LOVE the new business (you are so dang creative and cute)...LOVE LOVE LOVE the pictures. Seriously can't believe I haven't seen you since you were like 1 month pregnant. I obviously need to change that, too bad I didn't know you were in NC, it is so close to where I live! I just love you Heath-Jam. And Dallin is getting cuter every picture I see of him!

Woah, congrats on the new business! That is really exciting! I've learned that law school is not cheap, so I might follow your lead and find some way to make some extra money while my husband's in school.

Oh p.s. we're in Akron, Ohio. It's about 40 minutes south of Cleveland.
